Donating your free time to HMRI can be as valuable as donating money – in fact, many aspects of health and medical research simply can’t happen without volunteers working behind the scenes.

As a charity, HMRI is always on the lookout for new volunteers to support our fundraising and research goals. If you’re passionate about making a difference and improving the health of your community then you’ll derive personal fulfilment from doing something worthwhile. And it’s certainly social!

Our volunteers come from many diverse backgrounds, across all age groups, offering an impressive range of skills and experience. But you don’t need an exceptional talent, there is a variety of tasks for you to lend a helping hand.

Volunteers aren’t free – they’re PRICELESS!

Team HMRI

HMRI enjoys the support of an outstanding group of volunteers known as Team HMRI. They make a valuable contribution to the running of HMRI’s office, fundraising events and community seminars.

Volunteers can work in a range of areas including:

  • Administration - conducting mail-outs and completing data-entry
  • Assisting at events such as seminars and open days

Participate in Research

You may also be interested in taking part in clinical trials through the HMRI Research Register, which helps researchers build a better understanding of disease complexities.

By participating in a research study, you can gain access to health experts and novel therapies while providing important scientific information that may help develop new treatment approaches. People who are healthy are just as valuable to research outcomes as those with particular medical conditions and researchers are always looking for volunteers.
